DEODORANTS
Body odour occurs when sweat, although odourless in itself,
is decomposed by micro-organisms.
There are various ways of reducing body or underarm odour.
- With deodorants which, in addition to
containing alcohol, act on the basis of bactericidal (which
reduce the number of bacteria) or bacteriostatic (which
inhibit the growth of the said bacterial flora) agents.
- With anti-perspirants, which function
by reducing underarm dampness and don’t normally contain
alcohol. This formula also helps to improve sweaty feet
and their odour.
